Google’s AI Mode Driver Advice Worsened a Laptop Display Problem

Google’s AI Mode reportedly advised a laptop owner to uninstall a display driver after the computer began showing serious screen problems, but the change made one symptom worse.

According to Wccftech, the laptop display was flickering, showing two instances of the same image and producing a black halo effect. The user asked Google’s AI Mode, an extension in Google search, for help with the issue.

The suggested remedy was to uninstall the driver. Afterward, the display problem reportedly worsened because the text became blurry. The report does not describe a successful software fix.

Based on the symptoms, Wccftech said the underlying issue appeared to be more likely hardware-related than software-related.
