GIGABYTE has announced support for an upcoming family of Intel processors compatible with the LGA 1700 socket across its Z790, B760 and H610 motherboard lineups.
The company had announced support for the processors on all of its B760 and H610 chipset motherboards a few days earlier. It has now extended that support to its high-end Z790 lineup, according to Wccftech.
The Z790 boards are expected to support the upcoming processors out of the box, the source reports. The summary does not identify the processor family by model or provide a release date, and it does not specify which BIOS versions add support.
The announcement covers all three named chipset lineups. It concerns processors that use the LGA 1700 socket; no further compatibility details are provided in the source.
