Felix launches AU$50 monthly unlimited plan with speeds up to 80Mbps

Australian mobile provider Felix has launched Unlimited+, a plan that offers unlimited data with speeds up to 80Mbps for AU$50 per month. It uses Vodafone’s 5G and 4G networks and includes unlimited standard calls and texts.

The new plan raises the speed limit from 40Mbps on Felix’s existing Unlimited plan, which costs AU$40 per month. Felix says customers can also add unlimited international calls and texts to more than 40 selected countries for an extra AU$5 per month.

The source describes Felix as Australia’s only provider with a genuinely unlimited mobile data plan. It says many other Australian telcos advertise unlimited data but throttle speeds after customers use a set amount, often to around 2Mbps. Standard 5G and 4G plans from other mobile virtual network operators are described as typically reaching 100Mbps to 150Mbps, so Felix’s new cap remains lower.

Felix recommends Unlimited+ for personal mobile use, with occasional hotspot use on personal devices. The company says it is not intended to replace home or office internet or support continuous large-file downloads. Felix also offers a 7-day guarantee, with a full refund available within 7 days of activation if the customer is dissatisfied.
