Dynabook has introduced the V83/PA, a convertible laptop weighing 989g that comes with a stylus stored and recharged inside its chassis. The company estimates up to 28.5 hours of idle battery life and 16 hours of video playback, though it has not published the battery capacity. Neither the weight nor battery estimates have been independently verified.
The V83/PA has a 13.3-inch LCD touchscreen with 1920 × 1200 resolution. Its 2-in-1 design switches between laptop and tablet use. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.2mm audio socket. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, with optional 4G or 5G mobile broadband.
Configurations use Intel Core Ultra 7 365, Ultra 7 355, Ultra 5 335 or Ultra 5 325 processors, with 16GB or 32GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of SSD storage. The laptop runs Windows 11 Pro. Its built-in AI tool translates or summarizes selected onscreen content locally, without sending it to external servers. It also supports AI noise cancellation and Windows Studio Effects.
The V83/PA starts at ¥1,057,320, about $6,740, for the base configuration. TechRadar reports that the 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD version is likely to cost considerably more. It also notes that comparable convertibles can offer similar processors and memory for less, while few have a stylus that stores and charges inside the laptop.
