Google is expanding Chrome’s enhanced autofill feature to suggest information from Gmail when users fill out forms. The feature uses Gemini with Personal Intelligence to find details that might otherwise require searching through confirmation emails, receipts, or shipping updates.
Suggestions can include a shipment tracking number, a flight booking number, a hotel reservation, or the order number of a recent purchase. Chrome’s enhanced autofill already draws on information such as names, passport numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses from Google Accounts and services including Google Wallet.
Google says sensitive data shown as an autofill suggestion remains encrypted. Users can manage which information enhanced autofill can access in Chrome settings or turn the feature off.
The expanded feature is beginning to roll out in the US. It is available through Gemini in Chrome on desktop, Android, and iOS for users who have Personal Intelligence turned on.
