Detroit startup Bloom has raised a $3.6 million seed round as it expands its marketplace for U.S. manufacturers and hardware companies beyond mobility. The round was led by SNAK Venture Partners, with participation from Flyover Capital, Mana Ventures, Detroit Venture Partners, Invest Detroit Ventures, and the Michigan Outdoor Innovation Fund.
Co-founded in 2023 by CEO Justin Kosmides, Bloom initially aimed to help mobility companies with logistics, manufacturing, and supply chains. It has since shifted to a marketplace model that connects buyers and sellers, including robotics and drone companies seeking U.S.-based suppliers. Bloom says it has made more than 2,000 matches for over 140 companies.
The platform helps customers find suppliers for contract manufacturing, assembly, design and engineering, freight, warehousing, repairs, and hazardous-materials shipping. Customers can post contract opportunities or bid on them, with Bloom handling quoting, booking, and payment.
Kosmides said about 30% to 40% of provider data comes directly from companies, while other information is public. SNAK said Bloom's platform memberships had grown fivefold with low churn. It also said that by May, Bloom had generated as much revenue in five months as it did throughout 2025.
Kosmides described Bloom as an AI-driven marketplace for manufacturing, and said the company wants to help smaller manufacturers find opportunities. The source article ends mid-sentence while describing one Michigan manufacturer, so it provides no further detail about that example.
