Baseus Bowie MC2 NC Adds Noise Cancellation to Open Earbuds

Baseus has announced the Bowie MC2 NC, an open, cuff-style earbud that adds noise cancellation to the existing Bowie MC2 design. The product was unveiled at IFA 2026 and is expected to go on sale later this month for $99.99.

The previous Bowie MC2 earbuds sell for $79.99 / £89.99. Apart from noise cancellation, the Bowie MC2 NC retains the earlier model’s feature set, sound profile and charging case. Baseus states that the case provides up to 60 hours of battery life, although noise cancellation may reduce the actual runtime.

Noise cancellation is uncommon in open earbuds because their design is intended to let users hear surrounding sounds. Honor’s Earbuds Open and Shokz’ OpenFit Pro offer the feature, but use a more traditional open-ear shell rather than a cuff-style design.

To support noise cancellation, Baseus redesigned the earbuds’ padded “air cushion.” The company says the updated layer creates a better acoustic seal around the ear, helping to block surrounding sounds. The Bowie MC2 NC is presented as an unusual combination of an open-ear design and noise cancellation, but the source does not provide independent testing of its performance.
