Apple adds two Audio Intelligence features to watchOS 27.3 beta

Apple’s watchOS 27.3 developer beta adds two Audio Intelligence features for Apple Watch: Siri Recap and Live Rewind. The beta is rolling out now, according to The Verge.

Live Rewind shows a text snippet of the previous 15 seconds of a conversation detected by the watch’s microphone. Users can double-press the Digital Crown to view it, ask Siri about the text, or save it in the Siri app.

Siri Recap generates a title and key points summarizing a conversation after it ends, when the feature is turned on. The summary appears in the Siri app for users to review later.

Apple says raw audio is handled in dedicated hardware, is not saved as a file, and is not accessible to the operating system, apps, or Apple. The company says saved Siri Recap summaries and Live Rewind snippets sync across devices with end-to-end encryption when users have iCloud with two-factor authentication and a device passcode.
