Apple is bringing an AI assistant to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. Built on AI models from Apple and OpenAI, it can use a document’s context to help with tasks across the three apps.
In Keynote, the assistant can design, animate, and refine slides. In Pages, Apple says it can draft, restructure, and edit written content. In Numbers, it can calculate, visualize, and organize data, suggest chart types, and build custom tables.
The apps also support the Model Context Protocol on macOS 27 or later, allowing third-party AI agents to connect to them. The assistant is rolling out in beta to devices compatible with Apple Intelligence running iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27 or later.
Apple is also adding features across its creative apps. Pixelmator Pro is getting Generate Fill, which lets users edit part of an image by describing the desired changes. Logic Pro for Mac and iPad is receiving a Liquid Glass redesign and an AI assistant that Apple says can set up a vocal track from a prompt and edit existing projects. Its redesigned Mac Browser uses on-device AI to analyze, classify, and tag added sounds.
Final Cut Pro is gaining templates, graphics, titles, and transitions through MotionVFX, as well as a Content Hub with stock videos, photos, and backgrounds. Apple says the Creator’s Studio updates will be free for existing subscribers in November.
