Anthropic is testing a personal-finance feature called Claude Money for the Claude app on iOS, according to BleepingComputer. The report says the feature appeared after references were spotted by TestingCatalog on X.
A new Money section reportedly appears alongside Chats, Code, Artifacts, Dispatch, and Cowork. Its page says users can “understand your money” by linking bank accounts and asking Claude about spending, plans, and other topics. A “Get started” button is available for connecting an account, although the feature does not appear to be rolling out to most users.
Details remain limited because the references appeared ahead of an expected announcement. It is not yet known which banks Claude Money will support, how accounts will be connected, or whether access will be limited to the United States or certain states.
OpenAI already offers a similar ChatGPT feature called Finances. Through Plaid, it can connect bank accounts, credit cards, brokerages, and other financial accounts, then answer questions about spending, bills, subscriptions, savings, net worth, and investments. OpenAI says it does not train AI models on users’ personal data. Anthropic has not announced equivalent details for Claude Money.
