Anker unveils Eufy Video Doorbell S4 with 180-degree view and AI tracking

Anker has unveiled the Eufy Video Doorbell S4, part of its Edge 5.0 smart home lineup. The doorbell comes with the Chime 2 and is available to preorder. It is expected to ship at the end of October and costs $299.99.

The S4 offers a 180-degree field of view horizontally and vertically. When it detects someone at the door, the Anker Eufy app sends a video-call-style notification and opens a live view. Users can move their smartphone or a VR headset to look in different directions. Anker says the S4 is the world’s first video doorbell with this viewing capability.

The doorbell records 3K video at 3072 x 3072 resolution. Eufy’s AI-powered OmniTrack follows a person in the frame, while Auto-Framing crops the panoramic view to keep them centered. To help reduce false alerts, the S4 combines radar for longer-range detection with dual PIR sensors for movement closer to the door.

The S4 has 4GB of built-in memory and does not require a subscription. It works with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. Apple HomeKit setup requires the Eufy HomeBase S380 hub. VR viewing and OmniTrack are available only in the Anker Eufy app; third-party platforms show a fixed live view.
