TechRadar’s Pawan Singh reviews Ahrefs Brand Radar, a tool for researching how brands appear in AI answers. He compared eSIM provider Saily with competitors Airalo and Holafly, using Brand Radar’s existing AI Visibility Index and recent ChatGPT data.
The index offers historical data, competitor comparisons, individual AI answers, brand mentions and pages associated with responses. Singh found that these features helped him move from a broad comparison to questions and sources worth investigating. The service is sold separately from Ahrefs’ wider SEO suite.
Full access to all available AI indexes costs $699 per month. Custom Prompts are a separate option: users choose questions to track from setup onward. Existing Lite, Standard and Advanced subscribers receive 150, 300 and 600 custom checks per month, respectively. Checks are consumed by platform, location and scheduled run; Claude uses eight checks per execution. As an example, 20 prompts checked daily across three platforms and two countries use 3,600 checks over 30 days.
Singh cautions that estimated impressions do not show how many people actually saw a brand, and AI-adjusted search volumes remain model estimates. In his review, some response formatting was messy, and reports could require manual verification. He says the full index may be excessive for a small business following a handful of buying questions, while custom tracking can be a starting point. The review’s pricing is stated as accurate on October 15, 2026.
