Khadas Mind Go switches between tablet, laptop and desktop modes

Khadas has introduced the Mind Go, a modular computer running Windows that can switch between tablet, laptop and desktop setups using detachable hardware. Its components, applications and documents stay with the computer as users change its configuration.

The fanless touchscreen computer weighs 611g and is 6.1mm thick at its thinnest point. In tablet mode, its 11.6-inch LCD has a resolution of 2800 × 2000, a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 500 nits. Khadas says the display covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and supports portrait and landscape orientations.

A magnetic keyboard adds 79 keys, a trackpad and a 35Wh battery, bringing the computer’s total battery capacity from 18Wh to 53Wh. Khadas claims it can play videos for up to 12 hours with the keyboard attached. The keyboard has white backlighting with three brightness settings and 1.3mm key travel.

For desktop use, the Mind Go Stand provides active cooling and raises the processor power limit from 12W to as much as 30W. It includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and 2.5Gbps Ethernet, among other connections.

Processor options are Intel Core Ultra 5 226V and Core Ultra 7 258V. Configurations range from 16GB memory and 512GB storage to 32GB and 1TB. Prices start at $1,999 during the super early promotion and $2,299 at retail; the top configuration with both accessories costs $3,399 initially and $3,899 at retail. Khadas has not announced a launch date or confirmed when sales will begin, according to TechRadar.
