Birdbuddy has launched two smart bird feeders first announced at CES 2026 under new names: the Birdbuddy 2 Mini is now the Birdbuddy Nook, and the Birdbuddy 2 is the Birdbuddy Home. Both are available through Birdbuddy’s online store. Some configurations are expected at other retailers later this month.
The Birdbuddy Nook starts at $99. It has a circular 2K HDR camera with a 135-degree field of view that wakes when a bird lands. The camera supports landscape and portrait orientations, and Birdbuddy’s AI-powered app identifies visiting species. Its seed reservoir holds 3.8 cups.
The $159 Nook Solar adds a roof-mounted solar panel. For an additional $40, the $199 Nook Extended Edition includes a larger perch.
The Birdbuddy Home starts at $219 and uses the same 2K HDR camera and 135-degree field of view as the Nook, in a larger feeder with a six-cup seed reservoir. It includes two solar panels, a built-in perch extender, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an upgraded microphone that can help the app identify species through birdsong. Solar charging depends on adequate sun exposure at the installation site.
