GTA 6: Release date, platforms and price

Rockstar’s new launch trailer confirms that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on 19 November. The game has been delayed twice, from autumn 2025 and May 2026. Rockstar said the extra months would help it finish the game to the level of polish players “expect and deserve.”

Players who pre-order can begin pre-loading the game on 12 November. It is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date or confirmed whether the game will come to Nintendo Switch 2.

The UK price is £69.99, while the US price is $79.99. An ultimate edition with extra vehicles and weapons is priced at £89.99 in the UK and $99.99 in the US. Physical copies will include a code for a digital download inside the box rather than a disc.

The trailer shows playable protagonists Jason and Lucia and missions they will take part in. Rockstar has also confirmed that French electronic artists Justice are composing the original score. The game is set in the fictional US state of Leonida, Rockstar’s version of Florida, with Vice City, inspired by Miami, as its main city.

Rockstar has not confirmed whether an updated online mode will be available at launch. It has also not said whether any future UK age-verification legislation affecting social media and messaging in games would apply.
