TechRadar reviewer Rob Clymo describes the 70mai 4K A900 Ultra as a well-made dual-channel dash cam that records 4K footage from both its front and rear cameras. The review says its performance is strong for its price, while noting that some features require separately purchased accessories.
Both cameras use Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensors. The front camera records at 3840 x 2160P (4K) and 30fps, while the rear camera records at the same resolution and 25fps. Each has a 130-degree field of view. The system also includes HDR, 70mai Night Owl Vision 2.0 processing, a 3-inch screen, built-in 5-system GPS and Wi-Fi 6, with transfer speeds of up to 45MBps.
Other listed features include buffered emergency recording, a Driver Fatigue Alert, hands-free voice control and compatibility with 4G Cloud+ 2.0. Smart Parking Surveillance 2.0 and around-the-clock monitoring require a separately purchased hardwiring kit. The optional 70mai Battery Pack Mini is said to provide up to 30 days of parking surveillance without draining the vehicle battery. The microSD slot supports cards up to 512GB.
The review says setup is quick, but installation involves cabling behind vehicle trim. In the US, the listed price is $299.99, with a $239.99 offer on 70mai’s US website at the time of writing. In the UK, the listed price is £231, with an £185 offer on 70mai’s website at the time of writing.
