Drivers in the United States and Canada can use Samsung Wallet to lock, unlock and start select General Motors vehicles with a digital key. The feature works on some Samsung devices.
Support is starting on select Cadillac electric vehicles: the 2025–2027 Lyriq, 2026–2027 Optiq and 2027 Vistiq. General Motors says more models will be supported by the end of 2026. The company previously said digital keys would also come to some GMC and Chevrolet trucks in December.
The feature is not exclusive to Samsung Wallet. With a digital key enabled, the car can unlock automatically as its driver approaches and lock again when they walk away. Keys can also be shared, suspended or deleted if a device is stolen. Compatible Samsung Galaxy devices must include ultra-wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
