Jagex has announced a fourth massively multiplayer online game in the RuneScape franchise, along with an animated series featuring MoistCr1TiKaL, according to Wccftech.
The UK developer made the announcements at RuneFest in Birmingham. Wccftech reports that more than 6,000 fans attended the event at the NEC. The opening included a performance of RuneScape themes by the Manchester Video Game Orchestra, with Mod Ash joining the musicians on stage.
Jagex said the new, as-yet-unnamed MMO is in development and is powered by Unreal Engine. The studio described the project as being built for a new generation of players. The available source information does not provide further details about the game or the animated series.
