Marvel has released an official trailer for VisionQuest, which appears to show Paul Bettany’s Vision facing four villains. The series is due to debut worldwide on Disney+ with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, October 14, according to the source.
Ultron, played again by James Spader, is one of the antagonists. The trailer also appears to feature Paladin, reportedly played by Todd Stashwick; Coat of Arms, expected to be played by Lauren Morais; and Jocasta, said to be portrayed by T’Nia Miller. Those casting details have not been confirmed in the source.
In Marvel Comics, Paladin first appeared in Daredevil #150 in January 1978. Coat of Arms is the identity of Lisa Molinari, who first appeared in Dark Reign: Young Avengers #1 in May 2009. Her comic-book character gains four additional arms from a mystical garment called Tiboro’s Coat. The trailer appears to rework her as a technologically advanced robot; whether she retains magical abilities is unclear.
Jocasta debuted in The Avengers #162 in August 1977. In the comics, Ultron created her as a bride, but she rebelled and became a superhero. The article speculates that the series may show Ultron building her after escaping Vision’s mind prison, and that she could turn against him. The plot brief says Vision consults AI personas including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron while fleeing a bounty with Thomas Shepherd, whose connection to Vision is described as uncertain.
