Oura Partners With Xella Health on AI Biomarker Testing

Oura has partnered with Xella Health, a women’s health platform that combines lab testing and telehealth care. The integration lets Xella members choose to share data from their Oura ring, including sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, temperature trends, recovery, activity and menstrual cycle insights.

Xella says its “multi-omic” diagnostics use custom AI to analyze Oura data alongside information on hormones, metabolism, inflammation, nutrition, reproductive health and cardiometabolic risk. The company says this can help identify patterns that may indicate a change in health. The service assumes members already have the relevant health information in Xella’s system.

Xella’s AI creates a care plan with a doctor. Xella says treatment can cover more than 130 conditions affecting women, including endometriosis and PMOS. Xella and its doctors can also monitor Oura trends as care continues.

The partnership focuses on fertility, perimenopause, cardiometabolic health, hormonal health and women’s longevity. Xella CEO and co-founder Kelly Lacob said in a statement that combining continuous wearable data with molecular diagnostics and clinical care can create a more complete picture of women’s health.

Oura has also partnered with women’s health app Natural Cycles. TechRadar reports that Whoop has opened its blood-testing and cancer-screening service to people who do not own a Whoop device.
