TechRadar reports that Vivo launched an ultralight Bluetooth monitoring touchscreen alongside its X500 series, including the X500 Pro Max. The accessory mirrors the phone’s camera app and provides touchscreen controls for camera settings and subject tracking.
The screen can attach magnetically to a phone or work as a remote monitor within Bluetooth range. Vivo’s X500 Pro Max has a triple-camera array that includes a 50MP main camera and a 200MP 3.5x telephoto camera, allowing users to frame shots with the phone’s higher-quality cameras.
The monitor has a 3.92-inch AMOLED display with 419 PPI. It is 5.65mm thick and weighs 68g. A USB-C port handles charging, while three side buttons include controls for recording and screen brightness.
Compatibility beyond the Vivo X500 series remains unclear. The X500 Pro Max and monitor are not MagSafe-compatible, so they require a dedicated case to attach magnetically. Vivo sells the case and monitor separately, or includes them in a photographer’s kit with two teleconverter lenses.
Vivo says the monitor costs 699 Chinese Yuan, approximately $105 or £78, although international pricing will be higher. TechRadar’s Timothy Coleman says it is lighter and clearer than similar devices he has tested, but the product’s broader compatibility and availability are still uncertain.
