AMD Continues AM4 Support With BIOS Update for 9-Year-Old A320 Boards

AMD is continuing to support its AM4 platform with newer processors and BIOS updates, according to Wccftech. ASUS has released a BIOS update containing the latest AMD AGESA firmware for the PRIME A320M-A motherboard.

The entry-level board is still receiving support nearly 9 years after its release. It was introduced among the first batches of AM4 motherboards when the platform launched.

A320 remains the most basic chipset available to AM4 users. Compared with higher-end AM4 chipsets, it offers more limited component support, locked overclocking capabilities, and fewer expansion options.

The continued update arrives as DDR5 costs soar, while AMD maintains support for the older AM4 ecosystem through processor releases and firmware updates.
