Wharfedale announces four Nova subwoofers from 8 to 15 inches

Wharfedale has announced four new Nova subwoofers, ranging from the 8-inch Nova 8 to the 15-inch Nova 15. The range also includes the Nova 10 and Nova 12.

According to TechRadar, all four models use newly developed drivers, passive radiators and revised cabinet designs. Wharfedale says the series prioritizes balance, texture and precision rather than exaggerated bass.

The models target different setups: the Nova 8 is intended for smaller rooms and stereo systems, the Nova 10 for medium-sized rooms, the Nova 12 for more immersive home theater, and the Nova 15 for larger spaces and demanding systems.

Each subwoofer uses a long-throw driver with a rigid, lightweight cone, a die-cast chassis, a high-roll surround and a high-excursion motor system. Wharfedale says a large voice coil and aluminum shorting ring reduce distortion and improve transient response.

An Auxiliary Bass Radiator uses a downward-firing, dual-suspension design to extend low-frequency output without a conventional reflex port. Amplification ranges from 200W to 360W, with up to 80V peak output. DSP, amplifier, driver and cabinet loading are designed as one system, with adjustable crossover, phase alignment and level calibration.

All four models are scheduled to be available in late September 2026. The source does not provide prices.
