Salesforce UK&I CEO calls for more AI training and UK jobs

Salesforce UK&I CEO Zahra Bahrololoumi has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to skills training and upskilling young people in the UK.

Speaking at a media roundtable attended by TechRadar Pro, Bahrololoumi said Salesforce would continue its skills work “irrespective of government”. In June 2026, she outlined a vision that included a $6 billion investment in the UK through 2030 and support for the UK government’s aim of training 10 million workers by 2030.

Paul O’Sullivan, SVP Solution Engineering and Salesforce UK&I CTO, said Salesforce was experiencing “a surge of hiring”. He said the company was doubling the size of its forward-deployed engineer team in the UK, while investing in apprenticeships and graduate opportunities and aiming to double the size of the team in the next six months.

Bahrololoumi said the UK needed more talent to benefit from AI-enabled work. She argued that automation could help bring jobs back from offshore and low-cost locations. As an example, she asked why a company could not create 100 jobs in the UK while maintaining capacity equivalent to 300 jobs elsewhere, saying Salesforce had the capability to do so.
