Salesforce is expanding Missionforce, its defense AI agent program, through new partnerships with OpenAI and Nvidia. The company says the expansion will bring OpenAI frontier models, Nvidia models and accelerated computing capabilities to government missions.
Salesforce says the program will deliver specialized AI capabilities and agents for what it calls the US government’s toughest challenges. Kendall Collins, CEO of Missionforce & Government Cloud, said agencies want tailored AI that can run in secure environments while maintaining operational control.
Missionforce Operations can turn paper-based procurement, supplier management and invoice-audit processes into digital workflows in a few minutes. Specialized agents can run tasks, track status and flag exceptions in real time inside private-cloud or air-gapped environments.
Missionforce Field Operations & Asset Management also supports automated scheduling, work orders and asset maintenance, with native offline mobile capabilities for remote locations.
The announcement marks one year of Missionforce. Salesforce said its public-sector business had become its fastest-growing industry business at scale, while its defense business had grown 80% year over year. The company said it has worked with government customers for more than two decades and now supports missions across more than 30 countries, 60 federal agencies, all 15 US Cabinet departments, all 50 states and all six branches of the US military.
Marc Benioff referred to the partnership in his opening keynote at Dreamforce 2026, saying Salesforce was “deeply committed to America.”
