Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang took a call from President Trump while onstage at the All-In Podcast’s All-In Summit on Monday, putting the president on speakerphone before a large crowd.
Trump described recent fears about AI development as a “hoax” and told the audience that “the robots will not be taking over.” His comments followed Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s essay, “We Must Pace the Frontier,” published this weekend. Amodei argued for slowing AI development and improving coordination between governments, prompting broad agreement from AI executives.
Trump pushed back against those concerns in Truth Social posts on Monday and repeated some of those points at the event. He also discussed data centers, claiming that communities would be “dying” without them but were now “really wealthy,” without providing specifics.
Huang did not challenge the claim. Instead, he told Trump, “We’re going to make sure that everybody wins in the AI race in America. Every industry, every company, every state, every people.” Huang also said he was speaking to “thousands” of people.
Recordings of Trump’s comments at the appearance are available on X.
