Instagram lets users add tagged posts to their profile grid

Instagram is rolling out a feature that gives users more control over what appears on their profiles. Users can now add posts they are tagged in directly to their main profile grid.

A tagged post can be added from the DM notification received when someone is tagged, from the post itself, or through the Tagged tab. Users can later remove it from their profile. The original post remains where it was, and adding it to the grid does not delete or duplicate it. Removing it from the profile also leaves it in the Tagged tab.

Instagram says the feature may help with creator collaborations by giving creators another way to showcase tagged posts without republishing them or using the Invite collaborators option. It may also support brand campaigns involving multiple creators.

The update follows Instagram’s broader effort to give users more control over their profiles. In June, the company introduced Reorder your grid, which lets users rearrange content on their main profile grid. Instagram has also added First Draft, which trims selected video clips and removes pauses, and Replace Audio, which lets users change the music on an existing post.
