Anker and Mammotion unveil robot lawnmowers with built-in edgers

Anker and Mammotion have announced robot lawnmowers designed to trim grass along driveways, walls, fences, and garden borders.

The Eufy Robot Lawn Mower S2 Max, announced at IFA 2026, includes an extendable trimming arm and a dual-blade mower. Its vSLAM navigation uses built-in cameras to create a 3D map of the yard, removing the need for boundary wires or a Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) base station.

Anker says the AWD Mower S2 Max can map and mow up to 3.7 acres and handle slopes of up to 80 percent (38 degrees). It is scheduled to launch in May 2027 for €3,999. Anker has not announced US pricing or availability.

Mammotion’s Luba 4 AWD uses an edge-cutting attachment, four cameras, a 360-degree LiDAR system, and network RTK for navigation. Mammotion says the three-sensor system provides “zero dead zones and zero drift.” Independent front-wheel steering lets the mower change direction without U-turns.

The Luba 4 AWD will come in three models: the 3000F cuts up to 0.75 acres, the 6000F up to 1.5 acres, and the 12000F up to 3 acres. The 12000F does not support the edge-trimming attachment. Mammotion plans to open preorders later this year but has not shared pricing.
