Anker’s SleepLab speaker is designed to track and enhance sleep without requiring a wearable device.
The speaker uses 60GHz millimeter-wave radar from a nightstand to track micro-movements in a person’s chest and body. It continuously monitors heart rate and breathing, then aims to enhance whatever sleep stage the person is in.
Over the course of a month, SleepLab is expected to determine which routines help users get the most rest. It uses acoustic binaural beats and lighting to gradually deepen relaxation.
The device operates with a touch of a button and works independently of a phone. It does not require a paid subscription, although users can stream audio to it via Bluetooth.
Anker is accepting reservations for $1. The SleepLab Pro model costs $269.99 with radar sensing and $169.99 without it.
