Anker Adds a Display to Its New Sleep Earbuds Case

Anker has announced the Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 and Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro, designed for side-sleepers. Both models use the audio-masking technology found in last year’s A30 sleepbuds, with longer battery life and improved ANC.

The earbuds have a “20 percent smaller contact area” than the A30 buds, which Anker says should reduce pressure. Both cases support wireless charging pads, but only the SleepHub case for the 4 Pro includes an integrated OLED display. It can control the earbuds without a phone, letting users browse preset soundscapes, check sleep stats, and set an alarm.

When streaming music, podcasts, or audiobooks over the upgraded Bluetooth v6.0 radio, battery life is rated at 8 hours with ANC on and 11 hours with ANC off. Local playback of audio soundscapes is estimated at 9.5 hours with ANC on or 14.5 hours with ANC off.

The Earbuds 4 Pro also adds an in-ear PPG sensor to measure real-time stress, fatigue, and recovery levels. Anker says it will monitor sleep state, heart rate, and HRV, then play adaptive soothing audio tracks through Soundcore’s BioSync feature.

The Sleep Earbuds 4 launches in October for $229.99 / £199.99. The 4 Pro arrives in November for $349.99 / £299.99.
