Sigma Technology and Aetheria Partners Target Sovereign AI in Europe

AI Sigma Technology and Aetheria Partners are forming a partnership to help European organizations use artificial intelligence where security and regulatory requirements are especially strict.

The offering targets organizations in energy, finance, healthcare, the public sector, and critical infrastructure. It is designed for customers with sensitive data, high availability requirements, or regulations that may make public cloud services unsuitable for AI processing.

Aetheria Partners contributes an AI stack intended to keep computing capacity under European control, along with orchestration and compliance layers. Sigma Technology provides engineering expertise, system integration, and on-site development.

The partners say customers will be able to deploy AI in local environments or at the edge of the network. This gives organizations more control over where data is processed and how systems operate, instead of automatically moving workloads to a public cloud.

The joint offering includes AI infrastructure for regulated environments, deployment in European, local, or fully physically isolated environments, and integration with existing IT systems. It also includes sector-specific AI agents, ongoing operations, support, further development, and governance and compliance models.

Johan Thornadtsson, Vice President at Sigma Technology IT Group, said the partnership is intended to help customers move from experiments to production. Troels Vognsen, Head of New Growth and Strategic Partnerships at Aetheria Partners, said the systems can run within a customer’s own perimeter, on its data, and according to its rules.
