Microsoft is rolling out Bluetooth fixes for Windows 11 after years of connection and interface problems. The changes begin with update 26200.9359 for testers in the preview channel.
According to Windows Latest, the update includes nine notable fixes, with a focus on connectivity. One fix is intended to correctly show when a Bluetooth device connects or disconnects. Microsoft has also addressed audio calls with a new Windows volume popup for Bluetooth Classic Audio accessories.
The company says it has improved reliability and performance for LE Audio accessories. The update also reduces common stuttering and random disconnections, which may improve stability for game controllers such as the PlayStation DualSense wireless controller.
The update does not resolve every Bluetooth problem. Windows Latest notes that Microsoft previously said Windows 11 driver quality would improve over time, but long-running connection failures and other system-breaking bugs have persisted through multiple updates.
For gamers, the problems remain particularly frustrating. The source notes that SteamOS and Bazzite can be less buggy despite compatibility issues. Microsoft is continuing to work on the problems, but the source remains cautious about whether the persistent Bluetooth bugs are being eliminated.
