Apple has opened preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, announced at its September 2026 “Sunrise and shine” event alongside the iPhone Duo and other new gear. Both phones use the faster A20 Pro processor, with more GPU power, additional neural cores for AI-related tasks, and camera improvements. They arrive on Friday, September 18.
The 6.3-inch iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 for 256GB and reaches $2,399 with 2TB of storage. The 6.9-inch iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299 for 256GB, while its 2TB model costs $2,499. Both are available in four colors: deep black, silver, glacier, and burgundy.
At publication time, Apple is the only source for unlocked preorders. Apple offers financing over 36 monthly payments at zero percent APR, and both phones qualify for the Apple Upgrade program. Trade-ins can provide up to $885 in credit.
Best Buy and Walmart list carrier-locked models. AT&T offers billing credits over 36 months for customers trading in an iPhone 14 or newer and using the AT&T Extra plan. T-Mobile offers the iPhone 18 Pro through credits on Experience Beyond after a number transfer or qualifying trade-in. Verizon includes a free iPhone 18 Pro with its $80-per-month Simplicity Pro plan for switchers, with an upgrade option after one year; three years are required for the full credit value. The Pro Max costs $99 more where stated.
