Philips Hue adds Nanoleaf panels with a $39.99 module

Philips Hue is adding Nanoleaf wall panels to its smart lighting ecosystem through a new Philips Hue x Nanoleaf Wall Light Module.

Available starting September 3, the $39.99 module works with Nanoleaf Hexagon, Triangle, and Mini Triangle panels. It includes Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Thread, allowing simultaneous use of the Hue app and a Matter app such as Apple Home.

In the Hue app, the panels become a Hue light with gradient light and support for Hue scenes, automations, switches, and entertainment experiences. They also work with the MotionAware and Spatial Aware features on the Bridge Pro.

The module attaches to the panels like Nanoleaf’s controller, but users currently have to choose one controller or the other. Using the Hue module removes access to Nanoleaf’s dynamic scenes, screen mirroring, and music-reactive features. It also provides no physical controls.

Philips Hue founder and head of technology George Yianni says support for both modules is coming in the next couple of months. When available, the most recent software command will take priority. Control remains one-way: the panels can be controlled in the Hue app, but Hue products cannot be controlled through Nanoleaf’s app.

The integration currently supports Nanoleaf Shapes products, not Lines, Blocks, or Elements. Starting October 1, 2026, Nanoleaf Hexagon and Triangle starter kits and extensions will be available through www.philips-hue.com from $49.99.
