Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 helps keep a rural home running during outages

A TechRadar review describes how the Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 power station became a useful backup during frequent outages in the countryside. The reviewer moved back to the area during the 2020 lockdown and says bad weather could cause power cuts lasting from a few minutes to over 12 hours.

With two adults working entirely from home and two children to entertain, the interruptions were especially difficult. During one outage, the reviewer connected an air fryer to the Jackery 2000 v2 and used it to finish cooking mini pizzas. After 25 minutes, the battery had fallen by about 20%.

The review says the power station is competitive with similarly priced products but is not revolutionary and does not solve every problem. It cannot keep both a fridge/freezer and other appliances running indefinitely, charge the reviewer’s car, or supply separate rooms from one unit at the same time. Despite those limits, the reviewer says the device has been useful for working, cooking, and accessing power while camping.
