Google Find Hub Will Soon Remember Where You Put Important Items

Google is expanding Find Hub with a feature that can help Android users locate important items without attaching a tracker.

According to a Google blog post, users will soon be able to ask Gemini to remember where they placed an item such as a passport. Gemini will save the item's location and let users add a photo. Later, users can ask Gemini for the location or find the item in Find Hub's remembered items tab.

The feature will be available on devices running Android 16 or later, in countries where both Gemini and Find Hub are supported.

Google is also introducing Motion Assist, an Android feature similar to Apple's Motion Cues. It is designed to help reduce motion sickness by displaying dots that move in response to a vehicle's movements. Guided Vision, meanwhile, uses a phone's camera in Gemini Live to help users read fine print on labels or menus and locate items such as a specific ingredient in a cupboard. It can provide voice feedback when the camera framing is not properly aligned and is coming to devices running at least Android 9.

Google Messages is adding chat themes with background images that text bubbles automatically match. Starting today, everyone in a Google Messages chat can create and edit notes through Google Keep for shared grocery lists or trip planning.
