ASUS has begun retail availability of its first WiFi 8 router, the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 series, in Canada ahead of a worldwide rollout planned for October.
ASUS first showcased the router a few months ago at Computex 2026, where it won a Computex 2026 award. The retail launch now brings the series to the Canadian market as an early step toward the next generation of wireless networking.
The ROG Rapture GT-BN98 is listed with speeds of up to 30,000 Mbps and includes dual 10 G ports. ASUS is positioning WiFi 8 around reliability, stability, and lower latency.
