Google refocuses CC AI agent on family household coordination

Google is testing a new version of CC, an AI agent designed to help families coordinate email, calendars, chats and tasks.

The company says CC can help organize school schedules, sports practices, bills and meal plans. It can track dates and to-dos, add items to a shared calendar or task list, fill out permission slips and activity registration PDFs, create school-supply shopping lists, plan weekly meals, estimate drive times between activities, and create shared Docs or Sheets.

Each family member can choose which information to share, including messages about school events, clubs, sports, travel, birthday parties or doctor appointments. CC can receive forwarded messages or automatically share messages from selected senders. Google says CC currently supports up to six family members.

CC now has its own Google account and separate permissions for accessing data. Google says it runs on an isolated cloud computer powered by Gemini and the company’s agentic harness, Antigravity. The agent can ask for missing details and update its group memory.

The experiment is currently limited to U.S. users with personal Gmail accounts who are 18 and older. Existing users will be invited by email in the coming days, while new users can join a waitlist. Google said the product shift followed user requests for more household-management features.
