Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Raises Storage and Price

The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL feels more like a software upgrade than a new hardware generation, with only modest design changes compared with the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

The phone has an all-glass camera bump, an LED light replacing the temperature sensor, and new colors including Canyon, Olive, Fog, and Obsidian. It uses Google's Tensor G6 processor and runs Android 17 with Gemini features.

Storage starts at 256GB, followed by 512GB and 1TB. The 256GB model has 12GB of memory, down from 16GB in last year's equivalent, while the 512GB and 1TB versions have 16GB. Google says it made optimizations to get more from the lower memory capacity.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at $1,299 / £1,279 / AU$2,099, representing an increase of $100 / £80 / AU$150 over last year's entry-level model. The 512GB version costs $1,419 / £1,399 / AU$2,299, and the 1TB version costs $1,649 / £1,629 / AU$2,649.

Its cameras include a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide, and a 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom. The phone also offers Magic Capture and 120x Pro Zoom, although the review found results became poor beyond 30x.

The device has a 6.8-inch Super Actua display with a resolution of 1,334 x 2,992 and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Peak brightness reaches 3,600 nits, while HDR brightness reaches 2,400 nits. The Pixel 11 Pro XL measures 162.6 x 76.2 x 7.6mm, weighs 226g, and has an IP68 rating. It began shipping on August 20 after being announced in mid-August 2026.
